Trip Overview

Island Peak, often referred to as Imja Tse Peak, is a mountain in eastern Nepal’s Sagarmatha National Park’s Himalayas. Imja Tse’s southwest peak was first scaled in 1953. One of the primary climbing peaks in Nepal’s Everest region is Island Peak Climbing (6,189m/20,305ft).
Island Peak Climbing is a fantastic climbing adventure where you may feel like you’re on a mountain excursion by taking the easier pathways. Every year, a large number of tourists and climbers are drawn to this well-known hiking peak.
Nearly the whole mountain has fixed lines running from the crampon point to the top in the spring of 2016. Three 10- to 15-foot-long ladder crossings were also present at this time, however their lengths will change yearly depending on the amount of snowfall and the time of year. Make sure that everyone on your team is used to, confident with, and experienced with each of these crossings and crampon procedures. Prepare to crawl across each ladder on your hands and knees if the wind is really strong.
