Four peaks of the Ganesh Himal, which bears the elephant-headed Hindu god’s name, rise beyond 7,000 meters, and many more do so. The area features beautiful scenery, with narrow dirt roads and local village walkways winding through deep valleys and snow-capped, high mountains. The journey passes through this region from west to east, and the Sing La pass, which is the highest point, offers spectacular views of the whole Nepalese Himalaya.
This trekking vacation offers stunning landscape, great hiking, and intriguing cultural contrasts between Tamang and Gurung settlements. The trek’s comparatively modest elevation, with a high point of about 4,050 meters (13,288 feet), and its accessibility from Kathmandu, where it begins and ends, are further draws.
Despite the area’s relative accessibility, once you begin walking you might not run into any other hikers. You will begin your hike with breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and travel through charming communities surrounded by lush terraces. Trekking takes place for a few days through native forests filled with stunning old trees, lichens, and ferns. The panoramas of the mountains are truly breathtaking from Sing La.
