Trip Overview

A breathtaking out-and-back high-altitude hiking path that passes through many landscapes in the Annapurna Sanctuary National Park is the Annapurna Base Camp trip. The trek begins by meandering through picturesque forest and terraced rice paddies before ascending to Annapurna Base Camp, which is located at an elevation of 4100m. As you ascend, the environment swiftly transforms from tropical jungle to knee-deep snow hiking among breathtaking snow peaks.

Nepal is a fantastic place to go trekking. One of the most breathtaking paths in the area is the ABC trek. As a quicker and less expensive option to the Everest Base Camp trip, this route is popular with hikers. The base camp is in a surreal location because it is flanked by some of the highest mountains in the world, including Hiunchuli (8091 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), and the fishtail-shaped Machapuchhre (6993 m) (6441 m). The length of the hike to Annapurna Base Camp ranges from 6 to 12 days and can be accessed from a number of trailheads.

In this article, we discuss many ways to reach Annapurna Base Camp while also describing how to combine ABC with other hiking trails like the Annapurna Circuit, Poon Hill, and Mardi Himal walk. From the lovely lakeside town of Pokhara, the route is conveniently accessible by public transportation. Since it is a tea house journey, there are many inexpensive places to stay and dine along the route. Cost, itinerary, guides, porters, altitude sickness, and packing and planning advice are all topics we cover.
