Trip Overview

The most popular whitewater excursion in Nepal is rafting on the Trishuli River. It is suitable for everyone, including expert and novice rafters. Experience the pure natural beauties, picturesque valleys, spectacular gorges, unpolluted beaches, thrilling rapids, and easier portions while rafting.

Gosainkunda, a Himalayan lake located to the northwest of Kathmandu, is the source of the Trishuli River. In accordance with a myth, Lord Shiva carved three springs out of the stony mountain with the help of his trident. The river is called after the Trishuli River because these three springs provide the water for it.

Trishuli Rafting is at its peak from February through mid-June and from September through January. Nepal has its monsoon season in July and August. It is challenging to plan rafting trips during the monsoon because of the high water volume and rapids.

Trishuli River grade ranges from 3+ to 4 on a scale of 1 to 4+. As long as you adhere to the rafting guide’s briefing, rafting on the Trishuli River is safe. Rafting is risk-free for anyone older than ten. Because everyone must wear a rafting life jacket which allows people to float on the river.
